AZTI is a science and technology centre, located in Spain, specialising in the marine environment and food that develops high-impact transformation projects with organisations aligned with the following Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) adopted by the UN. Our purpose is to drive positive change for the future of humankind, contributing to a healthy, sustainable and fair society.
We provide cutting-edge, value-added products and technologies grounded in sound science and research. AZTI offers innovative solutions to the food industry to develop new or improved products solutions where prime health, quality, food safety and identity, respecting the environment and the consumer as its centerpiece.
Role in CoDiet
AZTI coordinates the project and participates mainly in: (i) the development of biomarkers based in targeted lipidomics for dietary assessment and NCD risk assessment(ii) application of non-invasive technologies for NCD risk assessment, (iii) run the consumer studies to evaluate the consumer perception towards the developed solutions and (iv) the evaluation of the developed artificial intelligence tool for precision nutrition in a clinical study.
